THE
HIGGINS
The Higgins were involved
in what could be a first for a BCCMA artist,
when they recently completed two new co-writes
with Australian Country Group of The Year, Jetty
Road. The two groups had several live writing
sessions across the Pacific via Skype, with
the resulting demos evolving into Jetty Road's
next singles. The first of the two songs- 'Let
It Out', is Jetty Road's first Canadian-released
single, and is currently charting across the
country.
The Higgins and Jetty Road had a chance to reunite
in person recently when they performed back
to back at the Capital Hoedown in Ottawa. After
the show both groups were joined by a special
guest at dinner- none other than Vince Gill! |

Winners
July 12, 2010 - The International Songwriting
Competition (ISC) has put together the most
high-profile and prestigious judging panel in
its nine-year history. Known for its high caliber
of judges, ISC offers songwriters and artists
the unprecedented opportunity to have their
music heard by some of the world's most iconic
and successful recording artists, as well as
many major and indie record label presidents.
Now accepting entries for the 2010 competition,
ISC gives away more than $150,000 in cash and

Open to both amateur

categories to enter, representing all genres
of popular music. Past winners have included
artists at all levels, from Grammy winners to

To better level the playing field for unsigned
artists, ISC has added this year the "Unsigned
Only" category which is open to songwriters
and artists not signed to a major label record
deal, publishing company, or distribution deal.
This category provides an excellent opportunity
for unknown artists to compete against others
on a similar level.
Winning ISC can be a tremendous career booster.
In the past five years, three of the Grand Prize
winners have been signed to major label deals
(Universal and Epic). Many more winners have
secured publishing deals, smaller label deals,
licensing deals, and distribution deals in addition
to getting more gigs, fans, and recognition.
Monte Lipman, President of Universal Records,

always been impressed with the talented songwriters
who participate in the ISC. This is a great
A&R source to find new artists."

JORDAN
DOELL
Recently, Jordan made
a trip to Europe and was invited to interview
with the people of Surf Radio in Monster, NL,
a small town on the edge of the English Channel
just south of The Hague. Peter Ford and Anoeska
were wonderful hosts and we had a great time
discussing radio in the Netherlands. Upon returning
from Europe, he played a show at the Cloverdale
Rodeo the next day. It was fantastic to be welcomed
to this venue with a bit of sunshine, a great
day and an enthusiastic crowd!
June 7th marked the release of Jordan's 5th
single to country radio in Canada, a song written
by Tebey Ottoh and Tim Nichols called "That's
Who I Am". From the feedback he has been
getting, he has found that this song hits a
lot of people the same way and it has started
to garner attention on radio Canada-wide. Radio
tracking is being done by Lauren Tutty, please
contact Lauren for interview requests lauren@laurentutty.com.
On Sunday, June 13, 2010, Linda Corscaden, Vice
President of the BCCMA and a huge supporter
of country music in BC held a fundraiser called
"Journey On" for the Surrey Cancer
Clinic. There were many great BC artists who
came out to help and support Linda in her endeavor
and she reached her goal of raising the money
to buy another chemo chair for the hospital.
Jordan was very pleased to be invited as well
and to lend my performance to this great cause.
A prayer was said for all those who are battling
this deadly disease.
This weekend, June 24 - 26 is the VIMBC (Vancouver
Island Music Business Conference) and Jordan
will be featured in a showcase at the Whistle
Stop Pub Saturday night at 10:30pm. Many excellent
musicians and industry professionals such as
producers Bob Funk, Kevin Churko and Tom McKillip
will be in attendance at the conference. Several
facets of the music industry will be represented
including ASCAP Vice President and songwriter,
Ralph Murphy, singer/ songwriter Patricia Conroy
and the band "Chilliwack". Heather
Ostertag, President and CEO of FACTOR Canada,
will be there as well as Ron and Sue Irving
of Boutique Records. So you can see there is
going to be a long list of great people to meet
and hear all weekend!
Going into Summer, Jordan is excited to be playing
events like the Apricot Tsaqwem Fest in Lillooet,
BC, July 24th, Strathmore Rodeo on July 30th
and Peachfest in Penticton, BC, for the opening
ceremonies on August 4th and is also very honored
to be invited to play at the 3rd Annual Gord
Bamford Invitational Golf Tournament this year
in Gord's home town of Lacombe, AB. Gord holds
this golf tournament for his own Foundation
and also donates to other charities locally.
He is proud to be involved and thankful to be
given the opportunity to help out as well.
Currently, Jordan is writing for his 3rd album
and has traveled to Nashville to write with
Byron Hill and Tim Taylor. Plans are developing
for another Nashville excursion in August and
looks forward to a new album project in the
next year.
Have a great summer, stay safe and play hard! |

COUNTRY
CLUB OPENS DOORS TO SONGWRITERS OF ALL GENRES
TAS Entertainment Brings
the Bluebird Café Concept to Boone County Country
Cabaret and Presents ‘Intimate Acoustic’ Evening
COQUITLAM, BC - June
21, 2010 – If you’ve ever been to the Blue Bird
Café in Nashville, TN on one of their showcase
nights, you’ll agree that the vibe and energy
is like no other. Silence fills the room as
the showcasing songwriters grace the stage.
As they begin performing their songs, you can
hear the breath of every word and the ring of
every note. Managers, producers, musicians,
artists, songwriters and the general public
reserve seats on these nights so that they can
be the first to hear the next great song, and,
with any luck, strike a deal or two.
It’s a setting that the
Lower Mainland is deserving of – the talent
that fills this region is remarkable. Just imagine
all the songs that have been written but have
no place to be heard or valued. Recording artists
need a great song and require a place to go
to shop for them. So as Nashville, TN has it’s
home for songwriters, so now does Coquitlam,
BC.
On June 27, 2010, Chuck
Vanderbyl of TAS Entertainment in collaboration
with Boone County Country Cabaret will be launching
‘Intimate Acoustic’ - an evening of original
music for all genres. ‘Intimate Acoustic’ Evening
will offer a comfortable, relaxing and acoustic
environment for the creator to showcase their
material as well as a place for musicians, artists,
industry personnel, media and the fans listen,
shop for songs, network and mingle.

be set and TAS Entertainment will then open
the stage to welcoming other songwriters to
take advantage of this acoustic showcase opportunity.
Songwriters of all levels
are encouraged to come out and are asked to
sign up on the night of prior to 9pm. ‘Intimate
Acoustic’ Evening also requests that all showcase

JAYDEE
BIXBY
Canadian country star,
Jaydee Bixby, releases his sophomore CD Easy
to Love on May 25th. The ten song album features
track after track of honest, captivating songs,
an effort that finds Bixby blossoming into both
a confident songwriter and an international
artist.
When last we heard from
Bixby in 2008, the Drumheller, Alberta native
was a young, modestly green Canadian Idol sensation
touring from coast-to-coast in support of his
debut effort Cowboys and Cadillacs. In those
two short years, he worked hard (harder than
most young men his age), and won over hearts
and stereos across the nation, founded on an
exquisite voice and entertainment prowess. In
releasing Easy to Love Bixby reveals a more
mature artist (both in content and that he has
penned many of the album's songs), yet he stays
true to his hat-wearing country roots. In Easy
to Love's songs, Bixby has found the vehicle
for his voice, artistry, and passion. "I'm
way more excited for every song" he reveals
about Easy to Love's inspiration. "Some
tracks are about ladies 'cause I'm still 19.
But to have the opportunity to take the experiences
I've had, sit down with some of my values, look
at things that happen in the world and what
I garnered from my parents and put it into music
makes it way more personal to me."
Certain of his abilities but not so audacious
as to eliminate the advice of mentors, Bixby
immersed himself in the epitome of country's
impressive legacy in order to realize Easy to
Love. Committing time in Nashville solely to
songwriting, Bixby completed many of Easy to
Love's 10 tracks, co-writing with the likes
of Anthony L. Smith, Gill Grand, and Ralph Murphy
to name a few. Songwriting complete, Bixby entered
Vancouver's Armoury Studios with Cowboys and
Cadillac's producers John Webster and Bill Buckingham,
a duo he refers to as his "personal motivational
speakers" for drawing out Easy to Love's
earnestness and intensity.
The result of Bixby's collaborations is an album
featuring stellar vocals and production, hooky
up-tempo hits, and meaningful mid-tempo masterpieces.
Having already spawned one Top 20 radio hit
with "The Boy Inside the Man", Easy
to Love is primed with other hits and is sure
to add to Bixby's already large fanbase.
Easy to Love is released
by On Ramp Records, distributed by EMI Music
Canada, and can be found at all Canadian retail
and digital outlets.

DIXON
ROAD
Dixon Road will be at
the third annual "Rugged Festival"
in Lillooet on July 24th. This event is a big
party, with the highway that runs through town
being shut down for the day, the whole town
shows up and there is great country music, food
and fun! They would love to see as many BCCMA
members and their friends and families come
up for the day.
Dixon Road will also be releasing some more
great songs to radio this year. Their first
national release entitled "Long Ride"
is still being played on over 30 country stations
here in Canada, and also in the Detroit, Michigan
area as well. They have been very happy with
those numbers, since it was their first release.
They've been busy getting more songs ready so
that they can follow up their singles with a
full album.
It was also a great opportunity for Dixon Road
to support Mike Norman for the Mike Norman Fundraiser.
They wish him the best, and a full recovery.
It was a remarkable evening that they won't
soon forget! |

ANGELA
HARRIS
February was a busy month
for Angela!
Hired on as an Associate
Manager at the Welcome Centre in the Vancouver
Olympic Village, Angela and the management team
provided great hospitality for the 2,300+ athletes
and officials who resided at the village for
the month of February.
Angela chalked it up as being as much fun as
working with her fellow artists and musicians
at any music event! It was a bit of a bend from
her focus on songwriting for film and television
placements but the challenge and experience
was one not to be missed. As reported,"
it was good exercise for my left brain and validated
my passion for event and project management."
Angela is back to business as usual and gearing
up for what is sure to be a very busy 2010/11!
Soon to be launching her entertainment services
company, Angela is looking forward to sharing
details with you very soon!
Stay tuned! |

| KAREN
FOWLIE Karen
is a veteran performer who has captivated audiences
at festivals and venues across the country since
1997. She settled in Vancouver in 2005 and quickly
established herself as a prominent and influential
member of the local music scene. Karen has appeared
at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, the
North Vancouver Sunny Sundays Concert Series,
the Art in the Garden Festival, the Wild at
Art Festival and headlined the Copper and Fire
Festival.
“Pushing the Edge”, Karen’s
debut CD, has had notable success. It’s an exciting
Alt. Country/Rock collection of upbeat songs
which delve into the deepest recesses of human
emotion. One of the album’s most poignant tracks,
“Tell Me,” examines childhood bullying and its
effect on conflict in adulthood. To back this
song, an independently-produced music video
was released this past summer. “Tell Me” then
garnered Karen AN ACCOLADE FROM THE BRITISH
COLUMBIA ATTORNEY GENERAL and obtained national
exposure in 7-11 and Wal-Mart stores. Another
track from the album, “Happy,” was SELECTED
TO REPRESENT MUSIC FROM BRITISH COLUMBIA in
the 2008 Trade mission to Japan. Music from
the CD has also been added to two compilation
CDs (Music BC’s “Make A Case Against Racism”)
and the 2008 Vancouver Artist’s Collective Association
(VACA) compilation.
Karen’s songs continue
to be in demand. “Love Letters to Evelyn,” a
World War II love story, was added to the Wild
at Art Festival compilation CD, Karen’s holiday
song, “Christmas Is Tomorrow,” was included
on Rave On Studio’s compilation CD “A Very Vancouver
Christmas III,” and was promoted by the Vancouver
Province this last Christmas as one of the chosen
songs on their “PROVINCE PLAYLIST”.

| JAYDEE
BIXBY Hot
on the heels of his resoundingly successful
debut album ‘Cowboys and Cadillacs’, is Jaydee
Bixby’s new single release to radio; a remarkable
new version of Tom Cochrane’s “Boy Inside The
Man”- on your desk January 26, 2010. Bixby puts
a fresh take on the lyric, turning the phrases
to a personal, poignant projection so the story
behind the song is now of a younger man predicting
what his life ahead holds for him. Cochrane,
whose story-telling songs have earned him the
nickname “the thinking man’s rocker”, is thrilled
with Bixby’s rendering and maintains he now
“owns” the tune.
In only two years since
his runner-up win on season five of Canadian
Idol, nineteen-year-old Bixby exploited that
mainstream audience and has traction on a unique
road towards a long, fulfilling musical career.
Signed now to the EMI distributed On Ramp Records,
Bixby joins a stellar cast of label mates including
Deric Ruttan, Brad Johner, Shane Yellowbird,
Haymaker and Victoria Banks. Cowboys and Cadillacs
was released in July 2008, that year his first
single “Old Fashioned Girl” went to #10 media
base at country radio and #9 at CMT. This was
followed with three more singles and a Christmas
hit written by noted writers Ralph Murphy and
Paul Brady. This first CD shipped 30,000 units
and scanned nearly 21, 000 units.
Bixby has toured across
Canada several times- showcasing, headlining,
festival slots, and opening for high profile
artists such as ontgomery Gentry, Kenny Chesney
and Taylor Swift. The end of January and early
February he will be in the Western Canadian
provinces touring around this new single. The
CD ‘Easy To Love’ will be released the end of
March, with a full cross-country tour in the
summer.

DIRECTOR
STEPHANO BARBERIS SCORES FIRST #1 MUSIC VIDEO
OF THE DECADE IN CANADA
The start of 2010 has
proven to be a big one for multiple award winning
Arkadia Pictures director Stephano Barberis.
The music video for Doc Walker’s melodic folk
rock epic “If I Fall” becomes the eighth national
#1 jewel in the director’s crown, and is a cinematic
period piece from the wartime era of enduring
love. Giving cause for more celebration is Stephano’s
video for Jessie Farrell’s brand new song “Nobody
Says No” becoming the fastest mover on CMT’s
official Canadian Cross Canada Countdown video
chart and giving the director his 41st top 20
video at that station alone. Both videos are
currently in Heavy rotation - Doc Walker’s since
September of last year.
Other videos currently
charting are Canadian Idol contestant Jaydee
Bixby’s “My So Called Life,” and in the United
States, Greg Hanna’s “It’s A Man’s Job” (which
is in rotation on all the major US music video
stations).
Of note, Arkadia Pictures
is one of the only remaining film production
companies in North America strictly shooting
only on 35mm film. Stephano has completed close
to 90 music videos, garnered 16 Director Of
The Year Awards - including a Leo Award, eleven
consecutive BCCMAs and two CCMAs, in addition
to 50 nominations (including two MuchMusic MMVA’s).
The director’s 1200-plus hours on set have resulted
in over 40 nation-wide top 20 hits and scores
of Medium and High rotation videos at MuchMusic,
CMT, CMT USA, MTV, VH1, and GAC.

Fowlie
Karen Fowlie released

may affect their later lives. The video stars
actors Steve Thackray (hero), Ryland Munn (young
hero) and Matthew Tikkanen (bully) and was produced
by Zen Microphone Productions.
The song "Tell Me"
appears on Fowlie's debut CD, "Pushing

Haley
I had a fairly eventful
summer - one of my highlights was opening for
Adam Gregory and Aaron Pritchett at the Darwell
BARNBURNER - great crowd and everyone had a
great time. I had a line up at the autograph
tent and enjoyed meeting friends and new fans!
As well, I got to play some new venues like
Fort Mac Casino, BJ's in Grande Prairie and
the River Cree Casino in Edmonton.
Recently I traveled to
Vancouver to go to the CCMAs: Canadian Country
Music Awards & Conference, September 10
thru 14th. I had a great time, made some new
contacts and got to visit with some good friends!
There were some people who couldn't make it
that I missed, but hope to see them next year
in Edmonton for CMW 2010!
This fall also brings
news that my second CD 'HOUSE ON FIRE' is complete
and we're looking at an early 2010 release,
although people can purchase it at my shows.
As well, I need to say 'thank you!' to all the
radio stations across Canada that have added
or who are considering adding my new release
to radio entitled "Mean Streak".
For dates that are coming
up: I will be playing on Oct 2-3 in Whitecourt,
Alberta at the Eagle River Casino and again
at the River Cree Casino in Edmonton on November
27-28. Watch my website for other dates that
I will be playing! |

Skyrocket 60 Percent for 2009 Canadian Country
Music Association Awards
The 2009 Canadian Country Music Association
(CCMA) Awards, held Sept. 13 in Vancouver, BC,
and broadcast live on CBC Television, drew a
record increase in viewership numbers with an
astounding 60 percent jump from last year's
ratings. "Not since Shania has the CCMA
Awards turned in numbers like this year's show.
Our viewership increased by more than 60 percent
from last year," said Jim Cressman, Co-Chair
of the CCMA Television Committee. "Obviously,
the star power of icons like Reba and Martina
McBride, coupled with a tremendous list of world-class
Canadian performers that included Johnny Reid,
brought eyeballs to our program and resulted
in one of the most watched award shows in the
history of the CCMAs."
The awards benefited
significantly from the switch to a Sunday night
broadcast and a strong lineup of performers,
including American artists Reba and Martina
McBride and Canadian acts Johnny Reid, Doc Walker,
Terri Clark, Crystal Shawanda and Emerson Drive,
among others. Canadian actor and director Jason
Priestley hosted the show. Reid collected an
impressive five CCMA awards, including Male
Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and the
Fans' Choice Award. Crystal Shawanda took home
Female Artist of the Year, Doc Walker received
the Group or Duo of the Year Award and newcomers
Dean Brody and Tara Oram won Single of the Year
and the Rising Star award, respectively. Worldwide
superstar Taylor Swift received a special CCMA
award for Top Selling Album of the Year in Canada.
She accepted the award via taped satellite address.
"Vancouver was a
great host for this year's Country Music Week
and awards show," said CCMA President Jackie
Rae Greening. "Fans and industry professionals
alike were treated to a wonderful mix of entertainment
and educational panels and performances. The
CCMA is once again thrilled that country music
fans responded so enthusiastically to this year's
events."
Encore airings of the
2009 CCMA Awards can currently be seen on CMT
in Canada. Visit www.CMT.ca

Gouchie will join the Canadian George Jones

artist whose time has come, Mike Gouchie is
it. Mike is a lot of things: single father of

Aaron
Pritchett
Congratulations to Aaron
for his nomination for the 2009 CCMA's Fans's
Choice Award!
"This is the award
that means the most to me, if I were to receive
it. The fans are the only true constant in my
career and have shaped, formed and placed it
where it is right now. Without the fans not
only do I not have a career but the industry
would not be anything whatsoever. For me to
be recognized as one of the top 5 in Canadian
country music is a privilege and a thrill. But,
if I were so fortunate to win, it would be the
most incredible feeling knowing that I was given
the ability to go out on stage, make people
laugh and smile and take them away with me,
mentally, to another place. It would be a reward,
being honored with receiving the choice of the
fans as their number one, as they are to me!
I wish all the other nominee's, Jessie Farrell,
George Canyon, Doc Walker and Johnny Reid, the
BEST of luck. I love you guys, respect you and
are completely entertained by you. Thank you
for making this industry fun, not just for me
but more importantly for THE FANS!!"

Jordan
Doell
I'm writing this note
on a break from some good times and great business
in Nashville, TN. Like every other country music
artist and musician, I love this city! Its vibrant
music scene is motivating and inspiring, and
I can't tell you how grateful I am to have the
opportunity to hang out and collaborate with
some of the most gifted talents in the music
business.
Most of you might notice this is the first newsletter
you've received from me. I'm really excited
to start sharing more of my music-related news
with you all. This newsletter reaches friends,
family, fans, industry and radio folks, so there
is something for everyone here - from new music
to tour dates to career updates and exciting
initiatives me and my team are a part of.
This year is gearing
up to be the biggest year of my music career.
I have to thank Gord Bamford for all the guidance
and support, and for giving me some killer tunes
for my new album. It was an honour to have Gord
show up at my CD release party at Gabby's in
Langley, and join me and the band on stage.
I released 'Blue Collar Palace' (written by
Gord and Duane Steele) to radio in January,
and it marked my most successful single to date.
'Be What You Wanna Be' hit radio in late May,
and I sure hope it will make some waves on radio
across Canada - it's a catchy tune, and I love
to sing it.
I've been hitting the
road across B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan,
and am pumped to add some really great events
to the tour this summer including Mountainfest
in Merritt, and the Ponoka Stampede - two huge
events for Canadian country music. So, I sure

Rad
Trad Country Night
The Rad Trad Country
Night at the Railway Club last Tuesday night
(May 26th) was an absolute blast! It was so
great to hear all those old traditional country
music songs again. The night was such a success
that we're already planning the next show!
Special thanks to Taylor
James (singer/songwriter), Angela Harris (singer/songwriter)
and Craig Alan Mack (singer/songwriter), Eric
Reed (multi-instrumentalist) and Rob Becker
(bass) for holding down the stage and for welcoming
other performers and musicians to join in collaboration
- this is what made the night extra cool! The
evening's guests were Mike Sanyshyn (fiddle,
acoustic guitar, harmonies), Tianna Lefebvre
(artist), Dustin Bentall (artist), Del Cowsill(Dustin's
bass player), Brian Zalo (lead guitar/vocals-
Smith & Jones). Everyone was incredibly
musical and added an unexpected dynamic to the
night!
A big thanks to the staff

6th
Annual Merritt Walk of Stars Gala Weekend
Merritt Walk of Stars
hosted a successful 6th Annual Merritt Walk
of Stars Gala Weekend this past weekend, May
29-31, 2009. The weekend kicked off Friday with
a VIP Industry Party where the guests were treated
to a song writer’s circle with Canadian Recording
artists Bill Henderson, Michelle Wright, Victoria
Banks, Lisa Brokop and from Nashville song writer
Paul Jefferson. The evening ended with impromptu
performances by talented artists covering the
globe from Merritt to Nashville. Saturday kicked
off with the MWOS outdoor stage showcasing performances
during the day in the downtown core. Local youth
to international headliners appeared downtown
to perform sign autographs.
On Saturday the crowd
was treated to a performance by a well known
group of artists. Aaron Pritchett, Lisa Brokop
and Michelle Wright all visited the stage and
then toured the Walk to sign, or re-sign their
handprint stars. Joining them were Bill Henderson
and Victoria Banks who were honoured with making
their handprints to be added to the Walk. This
talented group all arrived together and treated
the fans to a stellar performance, then toured
the Walk in a wooden car.
On Saturday evening a
sold out crowd dressed in the black & white
theme and enjoyed dinner, auctions and an outstanding
show featuring Aaron Pritchett as both performer
and evening host, Michelle Wright, Lisa Brokop
accompanied by husband Paul Jefferson, Bill
Henderson, Victoria Banks, One More Girl, Donny
Anderson, AJ Woodworth, Gary Cooper, Tammy Weymouth
and Ali Milner, all performing with Tom McKillip’s
talented house band.
Two awards were presented
at the show. MWOS, 1st Vice President Peter
Moyes, unveiled a plaque to honour a local artists
and 2008 BC Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee
Gary Cooper. The plaque will be hung in the
BC area of the Canadian Country Music Hall of
Fame opening in Merritt in 2010.
Honour was certainly
the buzz word throughout the weekend. The fans
were honoured to meet the stars. The stars were
honoured with handprints, murals, a showcase
of their talent and adoring fans. The volunteers
were honoured for their hard work. The community
was honoured to host the who’s who of country
music for another weekend. And the generous
sponsors and auction bidders donated dollars
to help support the Hall of Honour.
The weekend ended with
a members and artists breakfast on Sunday morning,
followed the annual general meeting. The Board
was elected by acclamation as follows: Ron Sanders,
Peter Moyes, Grant Neidig, Deanne Parise’, Linda
Gardner, Gail Neidig, John Morash, Neil Mcleod,
Shelley Sanders and Chris Langhaug. Executive
positions will be announced following their
first Board meeting on June 3, 2009. |

One
More Girl
EMI recording artists
One More Girl have just returned home from a
nineteen-date cross-Canada tour opening for
Johnny Reid. It was a career highlight for the
sister duo, giving them the opportunity to perform
in front of the ‘Tartan Army’ – music loving
audiences as large as 5,200 people. The girls
also took advantage of the tour to visit radio
and thank the many stations that supported their
first single “I Can Love Anyone”, as well as
adding the newly released single “Misery Loves
Company”. One More Girl also dropped in to the
CMT studios while in Toronto, where they shot
footage for their sizzle reel and had the thrill
of viewing their new video for “Misery”, which
has just been dropped in to the CMT playlist
in high rotation. Britt and Carly are looking
forward to doing some writing and recording
during their downtime at home, before heading
out to Winnipeg on May 12 to perform at a CTV-televised
flood relief benefit, hosted by other than Tom
Jackson. One More Girl are also scheduled to
appear at the Merritt Walk of Stars on May 30,
the Country 95.3 Canada Day Jam in Woodbine
Beach Park, ON on July 1, and the Merritt Mountain
Music Festival on July 11, opening for Doc Walker,
Johnny Reid and Kenny Chesney. And if they weren’t
already busy enough, the girls are looking for
a window in June to head down to LA to shoot
their third video, “When It Ain’t Raining”,
written by Gretchen Wilson and Victoria Banks,
Keep an eye on their
MySpace, Facebook and YouTube, and watch for
the One More Girl debut album ‘Big Sky’, due
for release in June!” |

"Fraser
Valley Karaoke Challenge" - Update
Annie Andrews has put
together a competition is a little different
than your usual contest, but, will give everyone
something to really sink their teeth into. Click
for the Rules,
Regulations and the outline. The two venues
and the ONLY venues on board are Gabby's Cabaret
in Langley and The Half Time Bar and Grill in
Abbotsford. If you would like to take your completed
application forms and your entry fee to either
one of these clubs to sign up, please do so
asap.
Well sadly enough, due
to the lack of response to the Fraser Valley
Karaoke Challenge over the past two weeks, it
has been decided to some necessary changes made
to hopefully keep the competition alive. The
competition is a bit more flexible to accommodate
those who need it. Hopefully this creates enough
interest and more contestants participating
in this years exciting competition. However,
if there aren't enough contestants by the deadline,
unfortunately, the event will have to be cancelled.
Please read the new rules and regulations and
get back to Annie by the Monday March 16th deadline.
When you do, please email
Annie so that she can put you on the list for
Auditions night. Annie
